An article yesterday on CFO examined the uses of wikis for businesses, as a way to share knowledge among employees, suppliers, and customers. The author argued that using a wiki is a much faster way to manage information than if you were using a highly structured content management software. Some software providers are now building in features that allow businesses to build their own internal wikis. Some also connect the wikis with blogging software. iUpload, one of the software providers including wikis, founder and CEO Robin Hooper stated, “For small workgroups, wikis fill the space between E-mails, which are hard to follow and manage, and formal content management tools.” Taken from the article Office Collaboration, the Wiki Way.
